Dr Brett Degoldi, Lawyer/Mediator
A Wholistic Approach to Family Law
Dr Degoldi now has over 20 years experience working with separating couples and families in Australia and Canada.
With a background in psychology and law, he has dedicated his career to reforming family law in Canada and Australia.
Dr Degoldi trained the first multi-disciplinary teams of professionals in collaborative law in Australia and produced a world first graduate research thesis on collaborative practice (Lawyers’ Experiences of Collaborative Family Law, UBC, Vancouver, Canada, ’07). He has also worked as an early Dispute Resolution Officer in the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario, as a founder of the Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario, and as the founder of the early triage/intake process called Early Neutral Consultation (ENC).
An experienced litigator and negotiator, his focus is on early neutral consultation and mediation, drafting and signing agreements, parenting plans and contracts (wherever possible, amicable).

In the community, Brett sits on various Charity boards. He is active in inter-faith dialogue, anti-racism and access to justice causes.
