www.FamilyLawPathways.com (the “Site”) is owned and operated by Family Law Pathways Ltd (“FLP”), which is located in Ontario, Canada.

Acknowledge and Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

Access to, use of and linking to the Site is conditional upon acceptance and compliance with the terms and conditions, notices and disclaimers contained on this page and elsewhere on the Site (“Terms and Conditions”).

Users of the Site (“Users”) agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions, which Terms and Conditions are subject to change at the sole discretion of FLP and without notice.  Changes to the Terms and Conditions will be effective  immediately upon posting the modified Terms and Conditions on the Site.  It is your responsibility to familiarise yourself with the current Terms and Conditions each time you visit the Site.

FLP reserves its exclusive right, in its sole discretion and without notice, to alter or limit or discontinue the Site and FLPA shall have no obligation to take the needs of any User into consideration in connection therewith.

Intent and Purpose of Site

The Site is an on line information, education and network source directory and the Site and all information, documents and material (collectively, the “Information”) on the Site is provided to Users for information purposes only.

FLP makes the Site and the Information available, free of charge, to Users for the sole purpose of providing general information on family-law-related topics and providing Internet access and information identifying family law resources listed on the Site.

The Network forming part of the Site is simply a list of practitioners and businesses who may assist families negotiating separation and divorce.

The Network forming part of the Site is not a referral service and the practitioners and businesses listed in the Network have no affiliation or connection with FLP.

No Recommendations or Guarantees Regarding Practitioners or Businesses Listed on the Site

FLP does not warrant or guarantee the quality or quantity of any services of any of the practitioners or businesses identified on the Site.

No recommendations are made regarding the quality of service you might expect from any of the practitioners or businesses listed. Nor are any recommendations expressed or implied regarding the quality of services provided.

FLP and its directors, officers, agents, employees or contractors (“FLP Personnel”) do not verify the license or practice certificates or credentials of any practitioners listed in the Site Network and FLP and FLP Personnel are not aware of their professional background, other than what such practitioners have publicly available on their websites.

FLP does not assume any responsibility for enforcing licensing requirements with respect to licensed professionals prior to publishing entries in the Network forming part of the Site.

The accuracy of the Site, the Information and any resources contained in the Site are not warranted or guaranteed or intended to substitute for professional legal, psychological or financial or any related advice, to contradict legal, psychological or financial or any related advice given or for legal, psychological or financial or any related services of any kind.

Therefore, you should use the Network forming part of the Site only as you would a telephone directory – simply to locate practitioners in your community.

Once you locate a practitioner, you should investigate their background to ensure that they are licensed or certified and that they do not have a history of complaints or disciplinary problems with their professional board.

To assist you in checking the background of listed lawyers and psychologists, contact information for the legal and psychological professional boards or societies in each State have been provided. Each professional board or society is listed under the state Directory forming part of the Site.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction 

This site is controlled by Family Law Pathways Inc. from its offices within the Province of Ontario, Canada. By accessing this site, you agree that all matters relating to your access to, or use of, this site including its content shall be governed by the laws applicable in the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to the conflicts of laws principles thereof. You and Family Law Pathways Inc. also agree and hereby submit to the exclusive personal jurisdiction and venue of the courts with jurisdiction in Ontario with respect to such matters.

Waiver

Failure or neglect by FLP to enforce at any time any of the Terms and Conditions shall not be construed or deemed to be a waiver of the rights of FLP.

Privacy

The Family Law Pathways website is a secured site for general public use. The privacy of the site visitor is very important to Family Law Pathways and is respected at all times. Family Law Pathways does not collect personal information, except when it is provided to us voluntarily by the site visitor with their consent. Family Law Pathways does reserve the right, however, to collect and perform statistical analyses of the internet traffic of the Family Law Pathways website for its internal use. We may monitor traffic patterns, site usage and related site information to optimize your visit to our website. However, information collected does not allow the identification of any individual or any personal information of the visitor.

We do not use cookies or any electronic means to collect personal information from you or your computer; however, our website host server may automatically collect IP addresses. We may view the IP log from time to time, for example, to maintain the security of our website. We do not link the IP addresses to other personally identifiable information.

Furthermore, Family Law Pathways does not sell, rent or loan to any outside parties any information collected and analyzed.

Confidentiality of Communications

You should not provide us with any confidential information or material.  Family Law Pathways does not guarantee the confidentiality of any communications sent by e-mail or through its website, or left in voicemail messages on firm telephones. Unsolicited information and material may not be treated as confidential and will not be protected by any solicitor-client privilege. Accessing or using this website does not create a solicitor-client relationship.
